Product Review Tuesday! Complexion Perfection!!

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  Sorry I missed the last couple weeks with product reviews.  It's been a little bit crazy around here!!  But I have a review for you tonight!  It's a new product I just received as a gift from my up-line and I am IN LOVE with it!!  It is the Complexion Perfection!!  Wow is all I can say about this mildly exfoliating face wash!  It has peppermint oil in it and uses finely ground walnut shells for exfoliation and it just feels wonderful on my skin.  Use just a small pea sized amount, lather it up in your hands and wash your face as you normally would.  Rinse and enjoy how smooth and fresh your skin feels!  Love, love, love it!!

Daily Grind Body Scrub! I love it!!

I am in love with The Daily Grind body scrub! I use it weekly to help buff away those dry areas on my skin and keep it looking healthy! Besides the fact that it helps my skin look great, there are a couple other reasons I love it so much. Some body scrubs I've bought in the past have a layer of oil that rests on top of the scrub - you all know what I'm talking about - it's messy! Look at our scrubs...it's all product, no oil!! Love it! So, when I use it in my shower, it doesn't leave the shower a slippery mess where I could fall and hurt myself. What am I doing??

You probably think I'm crazy, but as a Posh consultant, one of the items you receive in your kit is called "The Ritual".  You can't buy this product, it is only available in the Posh kit.  It is a pink, deep-cleansing mud mask that is wonderful!  After you get your kit, you are supposed to take your picture with the mask on and tell your story.  Here's mine that I want to share with you!

I joined Posh after a lot of research.  I became extremely conscious of what I was putting in and on mine and my family's bodies after my daughter was born.  I am proud to be part of a company that does not use harsh chemicals like parabens, sulfates, parrafins, soy, gluten or other fillers.  I work full time and have another small business on the side, but I felt drawn to Posh and I'm so excited to see where this journey will take me!

Why should we care about chemicals in our skin care products??

I know - many of you are probably like "we've had these chemicals in our products for years, why should we care now??"  I used to think that way too until my daughter was born.  I think that all parents want to protect their kids from as much as they can and I was on a mission to make sure that I didn't knowingly expose my daughter to chemicals that I knew were harmful.  So, I started doing a lot of research.  When my daughter started breaking out from the bath products I was using on her, I had to find another option.  We ended up using a completely different bath soap that only contains natural ingredients and no harmful chemicals to irritate her skin.  Amazingly, her skin cleared up!

Your skin is your largest organ!!  It absorbs so much into your body and if the products you use on your skin contain things like parabens and sulfates, they will get into your skin and your body too.  

Parabens are used in so many products here in the US, but have been banned in many other countries.  Parabens are used to prevent the growth of microbes in cosmetics and can be absorbed through the skin, blood and digestive system.  On the label you may see it listed as any of the following: ethylparaben, butylparaben, methylparaben, propylparaben, other ingredients ending in –paraben.  

What's so harmful about parabens?  Parabens can cause the following issues: Endocrine disruption, developmental and reproductive toxicity, allergies and immunotoxicity.  Pregnant women and young children are most susceptible, however, parabens have also been found in breast tumors and have been linked to cancer.
